Whittier, NC is a town of about 5000 located about 4 miles from Cherokee, 12 miles from Sylva, and 11 miles from Bryson City. Within minutes, our visitors could enjoy gaming or entertainment at Harrah's Cherokee Casino, take a whitewater run down the Nantahala, or go for a scenic drive in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
If you want to try your luck, Harrah's Casino is located in Cherokee, which is about a five minute drive from Budget Inn of Whittier and offers a variety of gaming spread over a spacious floor. Harrah's Cherokee also has fine dining and a 1500 seat pavilion that hosts many nationally known performers.
For adventurers, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about a 15 minute drive from us. It boasts mile after mile of seemingly endless mountain ridges, rivers, and wildlife. While there, stop at Clingman's Dome at an elevation of 6,684 feet. On clear days, seven states and a vista of nearly 100 miles can be taken in.
